Welcome message from Watford Community Safety Partnership

We are pleased to welcome you to the Watford Community Safety Partnership website where you will find a whole host of information about the work going on in Watford to make it a safer place to live, study, work and visit.

WRAG

Community Safety is a matter that concerns us all, and agencies across Watford have a part to play in ‘making a safer community’. The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (as amended by the Police Reform Act 2002) placed a statutory duty on the Police, the County Council, the Borough Council, the Fire and Rescue Service, the Police Authority and the Primary Care Trust to form a partnership to tackle crime and disorder and drug and alcohol misuse.

No one agency is solely responsible for making this happen but by working together with the whole community, pooling our resources, and having a strong commitment to partnership working, we can all contribute significantly to a Safer Watford.

The Partnership has identified six key strategic priorities which it has been working on since April 2008.  By exploring our website you will be able to find out exactly what initiatives are in place to help achieve our objectives.

We hope you find this website useful. If there is any additional information which you think would be helpful please let us know and we will try to provide it for you.
